To answer a question some of you might be having right now…
The puppy on the cover is Cloe. These poems are for her, and as always, for you too, dear Reader. I've discovered the fourth dimension and would like to show you around.
Cloe is my pup and was alive and embodied in dog form from 2003 - 2018.
The photo is from the first year I adopted her and taken with the point and shoot camera, Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 80. It was purchased as the family's camera, but it became my camera. In the typical way, an object becomes attached to a subject over time and repeated encounters. Oh, what are you doing here again? Funny, how the world looks in your eyes. Just as over a lifetime, a human-being can belong to a dog-being and the other way around. Oh you again, I like you. Let's go feel the sun shine down on our backs.
One more thing, I'm not sure why the date/time stamp on the photo shows the full time, but then only, the day of the month. This is the innocence of a young photographer. I wasn't paying attention to camera settings that day; my eyes were on new pup, Cloe. But see now, I am taking more notice of these details. It's very simple. I'm a mind embodied in human form taking a long walk.
Let's go feel the sun shine down on our backs.
